Rural route closed for several months after bridge damage

Ardlethen Bridge on the Esslemont Road has been badly damaged following a collision.

Aberdeenshire Council confirmed today that it will be closed for the foreseeable future, with repair times for works currently of at least six months.

Diversions eastbound – B9005/Station Road/Market Street/B9005/A920; westbound – A920/B9005/Bridge Street/B9005

This is apart from HGV Goods vehicles coming from/to Ardlethen Quarry that are encouraged to divert via – eastbound – B9005/Hospital Road/Golf Road/A948/A90 Southbound/B9005/A920 and westbound -A920/B9005/A90 Northbound/A948/Golf Road/Hospital Road/B9005.
