A mix of sunshine and cloud greeted over 260 runners for this year's Newburgh Beach Bash 10K which took place on Saturday morning.
The annual event, which was being run for the seventh time draws runners from across the north-east to the coastal village to tackle a circular route which takes terrain which ranges from pavements to sandy dunes.
Starting from the grassy area on the east side of the Foveran Burn, runners heads north through the village to Waterside, before traversing part of the Forvie National Nature Reserve and then heading back to the start/finish line.
Organised by Newburgh Dunes Running Club, this sell-out event is held under license from Scottish Athletics and is considered a must run event for local 10K participants.
First over the line was Fraser Gormley (Sen) from Aberdeen in 37.59 followed by Martin Burns (Vet 40) on 38.05 and Martin Dickie on 39.32.
The first female runner home was Emma Watt (Sen) on 41.28.
