Further suspected cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the NHS Grampian area today.

The area's total for those currently in hospital with confirmed cases stood static for the first time at 99 patients on Tuesday, the same as figures given on Monday when it had risen from 89 over the weekend.

But it is suspected cases that have taken a large increase, more than doubling from 20 on Monday to 42 today.

There have now been to date a total of 1102 confirmed cases of covid-19 across the region, with 11 people currently in intensive care.

The message remains: Stay home, protect the NHS, save lives.
