Buckie Film Club's next film is Red Joan (cert 12; running time: 110mins), which will be showing on Wednesday, February, 12, at 7pm in the high school library.

Judi Dench plays Joan Stanley, an elderly lady living quietly in suburbia, who is arrested on charges of spying for Soviet Russia back in the 1930s and 1940s.

Sophie Cookson plays the young Joan as she becomes involved in left-wing politics while a student at Cambridge University.

The film is loosely based on the true story of Melita Norwood.

Admission is free. Drinks and snacks will be served before this film.
