Record entry for World Clydesdale Show which is set to take place in Aberdeen
Largest Single Breed Horse Show in the UK and Europe, The World Clydesdale Show 2022 has announced a record numbers of Clydesdale horses are participating in Aberdeen from October 20-23.
This tremendous show has seen a total of 313 horses registered and spectators coming from all over the world to see a total of 671 class entries, making it the largest single horse breed show in the UK and Europe in 2022.
The World Clydesdale Show 2022 has been arranged by a team of volunteers and with the support of a number of organisations is producing a four day long spectacle in the Aberdeen this October.
Among them is EventScotland, part of VisitScotland’s Events Directorate whose support of the World Clydesdale Show 2022 has enabled this team of volunteers to access television advertising as part of their marketing programme which led to a significant increase in spectators and followers of the show.

"As an owner and breeder of Clydesdale Horses I have been overwhelmed by the support that we have received from EventScotland in the promotion of our show.
"We have reached audiences that we hadn’t imagined possible.”

The World Clydesdale Show (WCS) has been running in the United States of America and Canada since 2007 but has never taken place outside of the continent until this year.

The Clydesdale Horse is currently on the “vulnerable” list compiled by the Rare Breed Survival Trust meaning that there are fewer than 1500 breeding females in the UK, additionally they are considered to be on the “watch” status list by the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy with less than 2500 horses registered annually in the USA.
