RAPUNZEL, a classical twisted tale crops up in many languages.

But Inverurie Panto adds its own stamp to the story with a Doric twist.

At dress rehearsal this week performances were right on track - only the magnificent tower, key to the story stood awaiting its roof.

Producer Keith Donaldson was pleased with proceedings so far.

He sees his duties as co-ordinating his various teams "and paying the bills!" he added.

Teams include choreographers, set, lighting and sound designers, script writer, wardrobe mistresses, stage manager, stage crew, make-up, production photographers, stage manager to name a few.

Keith is proud of his cast, mainly local with youngsters from the Evolution School of Dance

At the rehearsal on Monday some items of costume were still a work in progress on a sewing machine.

Plans for Rapunzel began last December and rehearsals started in September but there was no denying the sheer exuberance of the actors and their obvious enjoyment in perfecting their roles.
