Public to hear about future of Huntly at meeting

A PUBLIC meeting this week will let Huntly locals meet the faces behind major community projects.

With chances to hear details of new plans, presentations and a question and answer session digging into transport issues, the event will tackle some of the most important local issues.

Hosted by The Huntly Town Team, a group of community organisations leading regeneration efforts in the area, the meeting begins at 7pm on Wednesday, June 7 in the Linden Centre.

Organisations including the Huntly Development Trust, Huntly Business Association, Deveron Projects, Huntly Sports Trust, Networks of Wellbeing, Huntly Community Council, Community Learning and Development, Aberdeenshire Council's Affordable Housing Team, Gartly Community Association, Huntly Orchard and Experience Huntly will be there on the night.

Hot drinks and snacks will also be available.

Councillor Gwyneth Petrie (Huntly, Strathbogie and Howe of Alford, SNP) said: “Come along and find out more about the Huntly Town team on Wednesday, June 7 at 7pm in the Linden Centre.

"With a cup of tea and fancy piece, chat with some of the groups and find out about the community projects underway and plans for the future.

"There will also be two short presentations with a question and answer session focussing on transport issues and how to address them.

"Everyone is welcome."
