Bright lights and colours illuminated the outside wall at Inverurie Academy on Wednesday evening.

The occasion was a sound and footage showcase, a joint project with the academy and Kellands school and the Moray based Wildbird project.

The young people clearly enjoyed themselves filming on different locations including Bennachie, the Harlaw monument and Castle Fraser woodlands.

Said Scott Willis, principle teacher of guidance at the academy: " It has given quite a few pupils an interest in multi-media technology and are now considering it as a career. perhaps in documetary-making."

Kellands and academy pupils were clearly delighted to see themselves on film while the broad smiles from proud parents and relatives told their own story."

Headphones were supplied as Scott explained: "so we don't disturb the neighbourhood"

Afterwards refreshments were served including academy-baked Christms tree and star-shaped shortbread.
