Portsoy fire incident sees police investigation launched

Police are appealing for information in relation to a wilful fire-raising at the play park to the rear of Portsoy Medical Practice.

At about 10.30pm on Sunday, August 6 police and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended a report of a bench on fire at the play park. On arrival the bench was well alight.

The fire was extinguished and no one was injured.

PC Greig, the enquiry officer, said: "I would urge anyone with information about this incident to contact police.

"If you live near the area and have CCTV, please check and see if this captures the incident."
