PC Luke Burnett initially joined the Police Scotland Youth Volunteers as a Youth in August 2018 at the tender age of 14.

From the outset, Luke made it very clear that his dream job would be following in the footsteps of his uncle in joining the Police.

Very quickly, Luke became an integral part of the team and became an excellent role model for his peers.

His commitment and dedication to the PSYV shone through, as did his fun, down to earth personality.

PC Burnett will start his career at Inverurie.

Luke spent five amazing years with the PSYV, becoming an Adult Volunteer at the age of 18.

He volunteered over 300 hours with the PSYV, getting involved in a wide variety of local and national events.

In February 2023, Luke’s dreams came true as he started at the Scottish Police College and was sworn in as Police Constable Burnett.

PC Burnett joins the North East Division in May and will be stationed at Inverurie Police Station.
