Police have issued a warning to owners of E-Scooters over use in public after an owner was charged over inappropriate use.

The Garioch Community Policing Team seized an E-Scooter being driven on the road in Port Elphinstone after which the rider has been charged with no insurance and no licence.

A spokesperson said: "Unregistered vehicles cannot be legally used on the road.

"If you, your children, a family member or a friend owns an E-Scooter, please ensure they only ride it on private land. E-Scooters cannot be legally ridden on a road, pavement, or any public place."
