Police information appeal following theft from Port Elphinstone paper shop

Police are appealing for information after a theft from the Port Elphinstone paper shop.

The thieves broke in through the front door window either late on Monday evening or in the early hours of Tuesday and got away with cigarettes, alcohol and vapes. They also took the CCTV camera.

Sergeant Gordon MacDougall said: “We received a report of a theft by housebreaking at a premises on Elphinstone Road in Port Elphinstone, Inverurie, around 5.50am on Tuesday, October 18.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and we would be keen to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

"If you have any information that might assist us in our enquiries, contact us via 101 quoting incident number 0407 of October 18.”
