It follows an intelligence-led operation on Monday October 17 where, with the assistance of the dog branch, a quantity of Class A drugs was located and recovered from Allenvale Cemetery. The estimated street value is approximately £8000.

Two men aged 18 and 22 were traced, arrested and charged in connection with the recovery. They will appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday, October 18.

Detective Constable Kevin Lynch said: “This operation demonstrates our continued commitment to rid our communities of drugs. We know the harm and misery they bring to families and we will do everything we can to ensure they are not making it onto our streets. With the continued co-operation and support from the public, we will achieve our aim."
