Artists in the Banffshire area are welcoming people to their workspaces as part of North East Open Studios (NEOS).

The event, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary, is a contact network for artists and makers alike and helps the public access the wealth of creative talent throughout the north-east of Scotland.

For a nine-day period in September the artists open their doors to the public to see demonstrations and finished artworks.

This year’s event is on until Sunday, September 17.

A Banffshire Coastal Trail has been created which puts the spotlight on artists from Pennan to Findochty.

Studios taking part include Watergaw Ceramics at Chapel Street in Whitehills where Fiona Duckett, Brian Cook Shand and Emma Rodenhurst Grant are based.

Banff has five stops which are printmaker Bryan Angus at 5 St Anne’s Terrace; Alun and Pam Dyson at Beantighe Pottery, 10 Campbell Street; woodworker Jen Humphreys at Banff Castle; painter Keith Price at Meadowlands, North Castle Street; and Milly Munday Jewellery at Vanilla Ink, The Smiddy, Old Market Place.

At Boyndie's Denhead Croft, Mark Green is exhibiting his stone carvings.

In Portsoy Muriel McGregor of Skylark Stitches is at The Portsoy Gift Box; Maria Manuela Guerreiro is displaying her striking Byzantine art/icons work in her home at 17 Low Street; and Sue Little is showing her textile sculptures in her house at 24 Durn Road.
