The good weather for the extended bank holiday weekend continued on Sunday, bringing out locals and visitors in Turriff as the town celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Hand crafted decorations created by the members of the Turra Yarnbomb Brigade festooned the Main and High streets with everything from post-box toppers through to decorative covers for bollards, tree decorations and knitted seat covers and a specially created crown for the Turra Coo.

Stands were spread out along the streets, with local groups including Turriff Academy, Friends of the Den and Turriff Running Club all running various prize stalls.

Entertainment came from Deveron FM, along with a performance from Turriff Silver Band, Yvonne Milne Dancers and Turriff Community Singers.

There were also sittings of afternoon tea in the open marquees, with special anniversary mugs presented to mark the occasion.
