PICTURES: Showcase of heavy vehicles at Grampian Truck Show

A huge variety of heavy vehicles was exhibited at the Grampian Truck Show over the weekend.

Thainstone was a hive of activity on Saturday and Sunday as people visited to see what was on display.

One of the highlights was a colourful comic book truck which featured an array of heroes and villains.

Also back on show was the pink truck from Jim Jamieson Quarries named Molly's Toybox.

The event was compered by Allan Mackay from Brora and had a massive range of lorries on display from the latest models to vintage examples.

There was also military vehicles, a classic fire engine and children got to showcase their mini trucks in a parade.

Over the weekend class awards were handed out, there was a charity auction and a range of trade stands.

The event is also a fundraiser with charities The Leanne Fund and Charlie House benefitting.
