PICTURES: Look back at special four days in June when Aberdeenshire and Moray celebrated Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee

FOUR days at the beginning of June showed the depth of feeling in Moray for The Queen.

To describe the Platinum Jubilee celebrations as unique really doesn't quite do them justice.

The anticipation of four days of celebration to mark Queen Elizabeth's 70th anniversary on the throne was only surpassed by the events in Moray themselves.

Communities across the district pulled out all the stops to make it a memorable four days.

There were beacons, tea parties, street parties, community markets, tree plantings, song and dance.

It was a real feelgood period at the start of the summer as people came together to have fun and celebrate the life and the service of the country's longest ruling monarch.

Here we look back in pictures at just some of the events across Moray and Aberdeenshire.
