RESIDENTS at a Huntly care home celebrated Burns Night in style.
Balhousie Care Home provided Burns suppers for around 30 residents, as well as family members, who enjoyed a night of good food, activities and dancing.
Home manager Frith O'Connor said: "The residents loved it and had such a good time.
"It was really nice to see them having a 'night out' with their relatives. They wanted to get dressed up and make an effort.
"Everyone enjoyed the meal and there was some dancing going on as well, with residents and staff alike getting up and enjoying themselves.
"There was a real buzz around the home and it was lovely to see that."
Entertainment on the night was provided by Strathbogie Fiddlers.
The haggis was piped in by Hamish Dean, before care home resident Bill Duff addressed it.
"Strathbogie Fiddlers were fantastic," Firth added. "The residents just loved them.
"It was a nice touch to have our own resident, Bill, address the haggis."
After the traditional Burns supper of haggis, neeps and tatties, there were drams, shortbread and Scottish cheese and crackers on offer for residents.
Balhousie's activities co-ordinator Katie Hopewell was credited with playing a major role in organising the event.
