The Christmas tree lights at Banff Primary School and Macduff Primary School were switched on during ceremonies.

The events were organised by the Deveron Community Christmas Association.

At Banff Primary School pupil Abbie Cresswell was selected by head teacher Laura MacKay to switch on the lights.

Over at Macduff Primary School head teacher Helen James selected pupil Vladana Babion to carry out the duty.

The association is responsible for the festive displays in the twin towns apart from those in the Banff Low Street area.
