Members of Banff Art Club had the opportunity to display their work at the group's summer exhibition.

It returned to St Mary's Church Hall this past week after Covid forced a hiatus on the event.

A variety of work was exhibited, which the public could view and purchase.

Banff Art Club chairwoman Lynn Bellingham said: "It was the first exhibition in three years due to Covid.

"As a group we managed to keep going virtually and did some challenges during that period. As a result of that we managed to get some new members.

"We are now meeting again in Banff Castle on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10am until midday and new artists who want to join are welcome.

"We are like-minded people that get together in a social environment and work on our own projects.

"We are not a teaching club but we are a very supportive and encouraging group.

"Our exhibition was run over four days and it is our main one of the year.

"There was an eclectic mix of work on display because the members are so varied in their styles.

"We are lucky enough to have some local, professional artists that exhibit with us, as well as the keen amateurs.

"Also generally throughout the year the club has a few demonstrations and workshops, which all members and non-members are invited to."

Anyone who is interested in getting involved with the club can visit the group's Facebook page or call the secretary on 07894428969.
