PETER Chapman, Conservative MSP for the North East, has created a charity CD of doric poems and songs.

The CD, which is filled with songs written and performed by Mr Chapman, can be purchased for £10 and all proceeds from sales will go to Crimond medical and community hub, in Fraserburgh.

The CD can bought on the Crimond medical and community hub's website, at the Peterhead prison museum shop, the Fishermen's Mission in Peterhead or Fraserburgh or at the Tufted Duck Hotel, also in Fraserburgh.

Mr Chapman, who was a farmer for the majority of his life, said: "I am a great supporter of doric and I'm keen to do my bit to keep the language alive."
