Patching works to close the A947 at Macduff

To enable Aberdeenshire Council to undertake patching, road marking and gully emptying, they will be carrying out a temporary closure of the A947 Howe of Gellymill Road from the B9026 at Myrus Cemetery to the A98 at Banff Bridge.

The three-day closure will operate from 9am-3pm daily from Monday, June 6.

A formal diversion will be in place via the A98 through Macduff to Old Gamrie Road, Old Gamrie Road to Duff Street and Duff Street to the A947.

Access will be provided for vehicles requiring access to properties but this may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.

Waiting will also be prohibited on the Old Gamrie Road in Macduff from Duff Street to Macduff Industrial Estate during the works.
