Resurfacing works will soon be carried out at The Square in Mintlaw on behalf of Aberdeenshire Council by Leiths (Scotland) Ltd.

To minimise disruption to road users, they will be undertaking the improvements over 19 nights between 8pm and 6am daily from Monday, November 13.

A spokeperson for Aberdeenshire Council noted: "However it does require the closure of Longside Road between the A950 and the A90.

"Due to the requirement that a diversion must divert to roads that are the same class as the one that is closed, the formal detour is via the A90, A952 and vice versa.

"We appreciate that working on roads even overnight can cause some inconvenience to road users, but we would ask that you bear with us as our contractors carry out these essential repairs which deliver long-term benefits."
