Coronavirus update: Slow down in positive cases continues

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 2908 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 11.1 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 499 cases and NHS Lothian 412 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 259 cases while NHS Highland recorded 169 cases.

In the seven days to November 4, Aberdeenshire saw 968 cases (371.2 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 779 (340.1 per 100,000) and Moray 321 (335.4 per 100,000).

Two new deaths recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 4,322,157 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,915,116 people have received their second dose.
