Duncan And Todd revamp Peterhead practice to benefit from new facilities and increased choice

Scotland’s largest privately-owned optician and hearing care provider, Duncan And Todd Group, has refurbished its Peterhead branch to keep up with customer demand as it celebrates its 50 year anniversary.
The store is Duncan And Todd’s first practice which opened in 1972 with the aim of providing a professional eyecare service to the local community.
Throughout its 50 years in business, the branch has evolved, introducing services such as hearing care and following its refit, now boasts an additional testing room to keep up with appointment demand as well as a wider range of frames for customers to choose from.
Located on Marischal Street in the heart of Peterhead, the practice reopened on June 7 following the renovation.
Managing director of Duncan And Todd Group, Frances Rus, said: “As we mark our 50th anniversary this year, it seemed like the perfect time to revamp our very first practice.
“Not only has the group expanded significantly in this time, but this individual practice has evolved so much over the years too.
"The store’s success is down to an extremely dedicated team, some of whom have been with us for decades of service, and our loyal, local customer base.
“The refit now means we can continue to offer even more appointments to accommodate our service demand as we welcome new and existing patients.”
The Peterhead practice has also introduced a new range of bespoke spectacle lenses into its dispensing.
The lenses use the very latest digital technology to create glasses for every lifestyle, including drivers, office workers, hikers and users of smartphones and tablets.
Recognising the importance of bespoke lenses to enhance the wearer’s experience as well as maximise clarity and focus, the new range was created for work and leisure use in response to consumer trends and modern lifestyles.
The expert team at the Peterhead branch and all other Duncan And Todd practices have undertaken training to expertly advise how these digital HD lenses can improve the vision and comfort of glasses wearers and will be a key product offered by the practice.
In the last 50 years, Duncan And Todd Group has seen significant expansion with more than 40 practices throughout Scotland.
