Official confirmation made of suspension of strike action in Aberdeenshire

Aberdeenshire Council has said that planned strike action which would have affected bin collections and seen around 40 schools closed has been suspended.

A spokesperson said: "We have received formal notification this morning that the strike action planned between 6 and 14 September has been suspended.

"Education services will now be open as normal and recycling and waste services will operate to their normal schedule during this time."
