For those looking to sharpen up their IT skills then a session at Elgin Library on Tuesday, November 12 could be just the ticket.

The successful Best programme run by young people's charity Barnardo's is back again. The four-week programme, which has already been run very successfully in Buckie Job Centre Plus earlier this year, is open to jobseekers aged 16-29.

It seeks to look at various ways of supporting them on the journey eventually leading to the world of work.

In addition to locking at a range of employability skills and boosting areas such as self-confidence, the course also brings in local employers to share their expertise plus the opportunity to undertake a work placement.

The course is due to get under way on Wednesday, November 13.

Two sessions aimed to help jobseekers hone their CV skills and presentation are on the cards near the end of the month, the first at Elgin Jobcentre on Wednesday, November 27 from 10.30am-12 noon and later on the same day at Forres Jobcentre between 2pm and 3pm.

For further information about any of these courses or to enquire about signing up, those interested should speak to their DWP work coach in the first instance.
