Steven Wilson is set to release his fifth single Up Up Away on July 4.

Steven (30), who grew up in King Edward near Turriff and now lives in Gardenstown, already has four songs on Spotify, and all other recognised music streaming websites, with Up Up Away to be his fifth.

The song will be released on July 4.

Steven, who owns a building services company, said: "I started learning the guitar at age 22 when I had a lot more time on my hands.

"Eight years on and now I’m writing, producing, mixing and mastering in the studio.

"Naturally progressing towards learning the keyboard and bass came hand-in-hand with learning the guitar for me.

"The only thing I wish I did was started learning in my early teens.

"But that aside, I now have two albums worth of tracks ready to release and I’m booked to play at three festivals so far next year.

"The music bug is an addiction it definitely keeps me striving forward."
