North-east legal firm Raeburn Christie Clark and Wallace LLP (RCCW) has announced new promotions.

Kimberley Smart and Gordon Wallace have been named partners with effect from April 1.

These promotions come as the firm prepares to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Raeburn Christie and Clark & Wallace merger in June 2004.

Kimberley has been with the firm for three years, she studied at RGU, securing a BA in Law and management together with an LLB and DPLP.

Kimberley is based at the firm’s Inverurie branch, where she helms the office as branch principal.

With 15 years’ experience of the local residential conveyancing market, Kimberley will continue to support clients across a range of property transactions.

Gordon Wallace joined the firm’s commercial property department in September 2019.

A University of Aberdeen graduate, Gordon undertook his traineeship in the central belt.

He returned to Aberdeen in 2014 when he joined a leading Scottish commercial legal firm, which subsequently merged with an international legal firm.

Gordon has considerable experience of purchase, sale and lease transactions in the renewable energy, office, hospitality, industrial and rural markets.

In recent years, he has specialised in development transactions for national and local house builders.

Managing partner Callum McDonald said: “We congratulate Kimberley and Gordon on their promotion to partner as we continue to expand the firm in our core area of property work.

“These promotions follow on our recent acquisition of the private client business of Mackie and Dewar, and are very fitting as the firm looks forward to celebrating 20 years as the merged RCCW.

“I am confident that our new partners will continue to offer first class service to new and existing clients and help us to continue to support clients across the region.”
