RAF Buccaneer jet besides Moray garage is up for sale

It's got an impressive top speed but parking it on the street outside your home might upset the neighbours.

This Buccaneer XW 530 has stood on display outside an Elgin garage since 1996.

But now a 'for sale' advert has been placed on the Gumtree website.

The asking price is £28,000.

Before being brought to the Buccaneer Service Station in Elgin, the plane was previously based nearby at RAF Lossiemouth.

It saw action during the 1991 Gulf War where its 'Sky Pirate' marking was added.

The plane has been put up for sale by businessman Iain Aitkenhead who originally bought it from the RAF.

Iain says that, ideally, he would like it to go to a museum.

Incidentally, the Buccaneer Service Station is now an Esso garage.

But, you guessed it, not long ago it used to be Jet.
