The organisers of the Aberdeen Health and Wellbeing Festival have confirmed that the event is returning for a third year, taking place at The Beach Ballroom on Saturday, January 13.

The festival was launched in 2019 by Deeside residents, Sarah Stewart and Dr. Emma Windle, who wanted to bring together a variety of organisations, charities, and businesses with a focus on improving the health and wellbeing of the local population.

The aim of the event is to inspire, motivate, and educate people in Aberdeen City and Shire into taking a more active role in looking after their health.

Last year the event welcomed 60 exhibitors, 10 speakers, 30+ classes, various local entertainers, and around 800 attendees, and this year the organisers are hoping to bring even more people together to showcase the incredible businesses and activities that are available across the north- east.

Previous events have included classes and seminars on everything from menopause to men’s health, functional fitness to family mindfulness, and from boot camps to bootybarre, to name only a few.

After two successful years at the Sir Ian Wood Building within the Robert Gordon University Campus, the one-day event is moving to The Beach Ballroom, which offers more space for exhibitors along with large rooms for seminars and activities.

This change is possible as a result of support from SLB, a global technology company, driving energy innovation for a balanced planet.

Dr Emma Windle, one of the festival founders said “‘We would like to thank RGU, our sponsors for the first two festivals, the exhibitors and the attendees, we have been blown away by the enthusiasm and support in Aberdeen for health and wellbeing.

"We are very excited to work with Mearns and Gill and SLB to expand the festival and the health and wellbeing community in Aberdeen.’
