Two of Scotland’s most popular craft breweries Fierce and Overtone have collaborated to produce a duo of hazy pale ales, which will be exclusively stocked at Aldi Scotland.

The beers, which are featuring as part of the retailer’s Beers of the Month campaign, will also be available throughout Scottish Food and Drink Fortnight (Saturday, September 2 to Saturday, September 16), which celebrates the very best of Scotland’s larder.

Ribbons of Sound is a hazy pale full of white grape, apricot and peach flavours, while Weegie Juice 2.0, a hybrid of Fierce’s popular Fancy Juice and Overtone’s Weegie IPA, is layered with fresh mango and pineapple against a tropical stone fruit and citrus backbone.

Fierce Beer, based in Dyce, is a trusted supplier of Aldi Scotland, who were the micro-brewery’s first ever customer in 2016.

Fierce Beer and Overtone Brewing’s beers will launch across Aldi’s 104 Scottish stores this week and will be available while stocks last.

David Grant, owner and managing director, Fierce Beer, said: “Working with Aldi Scotland over the years has given us the chance to showcase our beer to a wider audience.

"I’m really pleased to have our latest collaboration with our friends at Overtone Brewing stocked on Aldi’s Scottish shelves.

“As a Scottish supplier, it’s really encouraging to see the retailer’s clear support for the Scottish food and drink industry, and we massively appreciate the support.”

Graham Nicolson, group buying director, Aldi Scotland, said: “I’m really pleased that we’re able to bring new and exciting products to our customers as part of our Beers of the Month campaign, and I'm proud that Aldi Scotland is the only retailer to be stocking Fierce Beer and Overtone’s Brewing’s latest collaboration.

“It’s very timely that this launch coincides with Scottish Food and Drink Fortnight, during which time we’ll be showcasing a range of Scottish suppliers and products.

"It really is one of the biggest dates in our calendar and allows us to put the spotlight fully on a fantastic collection of Scottish producers.”

Aldi will be celebrating Scottish Food and Drink Fortnight across its Scottish stores until Saturday, September 16.
