Nominations set to open for Aberdeenshire community councils

Nominations are being sought to fill vacancies on three Aberdeenshire community councils over the coming weeks.

Candidates are being sought for Alvah and Forglen which has seven vacancies. The nomination start date is Tuesday, May 17 and closes on Tuesday, June 7. The group's AGM is on Tuesday, June 28.

King Edward and Gamrie has six vacancies and the nomination start date is Tuesday, May 17. It closes on Tuesday, June 7, and the group's AGM is on Tuesday, June 28.

Fordyce, Sandend and District has 10 vacancies and the nomination start date is Thursday, May 19. It closes on Thursday, June 9, and the group's AGM is on Thursday, June 30.

Anyone who would like to put themselves forward for one of the vacancies can find nomination forms and further information from the council website at www.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/communities-and-events/community-councils/cc-election
