No opening date for Maud post office

A north-east post office which closed its doors temporarily in March will now be closed indefinitely.

Maud Post Office which is based at the Old Mart buildings stopped operations on Wednesday, March 25, but in a letter sent to MSP Gillian Martin on Friday, the Post Office have informed the community that the closure will now be until further notice due to the coronavirus.

In a letter, Post Office change manager David Duff said: "Currently it is unclear how long this branch will remain temporarily closed.

"The coronavirus pandemic is clearly having a big impact on businesses countrywide and things are changing daily, however we can assure you that we will continue to work to find a solution that will restore Post Office Services to the community."
