Moray Firth Moment: Nice 'N' Breezy does it

Hazel Thomson took this picture of a huge vessel passing along the Moray Firth yesterday carrying massive wind turbine components.

.

The vessel, belonging to United Wind Logistics, is understood to be transporting the parts to the Moray East wind farm, which is sited more than 15 miles out to sea.

The 100-turbine Moray East project is expected to be fully operational by 2022.

When complete, it is designed to be capable of meeting the electricity needs of nearly a million homes.
