Almost 10,000 households across Banff and Buchan will receive the next instalment of cost of living payments between October 31 and November 19 from the UK Government.
A total of 9600 residents in the area and eight million people across the UK on means-tested benefits, such as Universal Credit, will receive £300 directly, without the need to make a claim.
It is the second of three instalments that will eventually total £900.
Across Aberdeenshire, 19,800 households will receive the support package while in Moray, 9400 will be given financial assistance.
Separate payments have been made to some people with disabilities and will be paid to pensioners in the winter.
More than six million people with disabilities received £150 during the summer. Over the winter, more than eight million pensioners will receive an extra £300.
All will be paid directly into eligible recipients' bank accounts which will have a reference of the recipient's national insurance (NI) number followed by “DWP COL” or “HMRC COLS”.
Banff and Buchan MP David Duguid said: “I’m delighted these payments will give a financial boost to the most vulnerable households across Banff and Buchan.
“This support shows that helping and protecting people with the cost of living remains a key priority for the UK Government as we head into winter.
“It’s also in addition to the government’s unprecedented cost of living support to date, which has included £7 billion helping to ease the burden of energy bills in Scotland.
“This latest cost of living payment is part of a package of support worth £3300 per household on average over this year to residents in areas such as Banff and Buchan.
“Halving inflation and getting price rises under control is the best way to support households struggling with their bills and this is exactly what the UK Government is doing which will have a direct benefit to households across the north-east.”
