Judges were impressed by entries in the Employer Connections Award, Skills Development Award and Student of the Year Award sections.

The winners to be announced in November at a ceremony in Glasgow.

The Employer Connections Award nomination celebrates NESCol’s collaboration with P&J Live, which has provided training opportunities and career pathways for a succession of students as well as professional development for staff.

The Skills Development Award also recognised collaboration, this time with Aberdeen City Council as NESCol students worked to promote Meta Skills to academy pupils across the city through a series of animations.

Zoey Filianore Wynters impressed the panel in the Student of the Year Award, selected following her dedicated work as Equality and Diversity Executive Officer with the NESCol Students’ Association.

NESCol Principal Neil Cowie said: “We are very proud to be shortlisted in three categories, with competition from colleges across Scotland. It is never an easy task for judges to choose from so many strong submissions and it is an endorsement of students and staff to see NESCol’s name featuring so prominently on the list of finalists.

“My congratulations go to all who have been recognised and who have played their part in the projects and initiatives at the heart of all three nominations.”
