A BODY found on a North Kessock shore yesterday is believed to be that of teenager Blair Davidson who has been missing since December.

Mr Davidson was last seen in the vicinity of the Kessock Bridge on December 28.

The 18-year-old’s abandoned vehicle was discovered by police on the bridge.

The discovery of the abandoned Renault Clio led to a search involving police, maritime and coastguard agency, lifeboats, the dog section and a rescue helicopter from Stornoway.

Police have confirmed that they received a report of a body being found on the shore around 3.30pm on Thursday.

Mr Davidson’s family has been informed, but formal identification will require to be carried out.
