THE man who died after falling from the Kessock Bridge on Friday night has been formally identified as Julian Bell, a groundsman from Inverness.

Police issued his name today following formal identification.

The Inverness Courier reported on Tuesday how the 44-year-old was pronounced dead by paramedics at Inverness Marina after being retrieved from the water by Kessock RNLI.

He was taken to the mortuary at Raigmore Hospital, where NHS staff detected "potential signs of life."

Medical teams rushed to the mortuary and immediately started resuscitation, but he was again pronounced dead.

Police are not treating his death as suspicious.
