A post-mortem is to be carried out in a bid to find out the cause of death of this common dolphin which was washed ashore on Farr Beach, Bettyhill, and appeared to be in good condition. The carcase was collected by Nora Hanson of the Scottish Agricultural College’s Wildlife Unit. She was assisted by Paul Castle, the countryside ranger for North Sutherland and North Caithness along with pupils from Farr High School.
