Advice on how to avoid bogus callers
A NATIONAL campaign to raise awareness about bogus callers and doorstep crime has been launched, and members of the public will this week have a chance to obtain advice from officers in Moray.
Police in both Moray and Aberdeenshire are working alongside Trading Standards to carry out prevention and enforcement action throughout the three-week operation.
A mobile police office will be at various locations throughout the two regions from tomorrow (September 17) until next Tuesday, providing advice on what to do and what not to do if approached by a bogus caller.
The mobile office will be at Elgin tomorrow (Tuesday), at the town’s Tesco store, from 10am to 2pm.
It will then return to Elgin next week on Tuesday September 24, setting itself up at Asda, from 12noon until 3pm.
