Police stopped the car on Wednesday evening

TWO men have appeared at Inverness Sheriff court charged in connection with possessing heroin.

Police stopped the vehicle on the A9 in the Newtonmore area on Wednesday evening and the two men, aged 28 and 29 were found to be in possession of heroin with a street value of £24,000.

The men were arrested and appeared at court from police custody charged in connection with the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
