A WOMAN was treated for minor injuries following a three-vehicle collision on a Black Isle road on Friday morning.

The collision on the B9161 between the Munlochy junction of the A9 and Bogallan Nurseries forced closure of the route for a period.

One of those treated was Bernadette Cairns, who is senior manager for additional support needs at Highland Council.

Mrs Cairns was cut free as a precaution as she had hurt her back. She was checked at Raigmore Hospital and able to return home at lunch-time.

The road was later re-opened to traffic.
