GLENFIDDICH Distillery will open its second exhibition of works by its 2012 artists in residence tomorrow.

All eight international artists participating in this year’s programme are now working at the distillery, and the new exhibition features pieces created by six of them.

Showcasing the diverse styles of the artists involved, the exhibition includes textile creations hand woven by Indian artist Juhikadevi Bhanjdeo, a selection of drawings by American Daniel Zalkus, new additions to the series of window pictures being developed by London based print worker Jack Newlands and dream based works by Dongwan Kook from Korea.

Taiwanese abstract painter Wu Tung-Lung will present two paintings inspired by the night sky of Dufftown and Canada’s Jillian McDonald will be showing the first of the films she has made during her residency.

Andy Fairgrieve, curator for Glenfiddich’s artists in residence programme, said: "Those who attended our first exhibition in July will hopefully be interested to see how the themes from some of the work shown then have been developed by the artists in this second exhibition.

"We are also presenting pieces by artists who joined the residency programme later in the summer, and are therefore showing work in our gallery for the first time."

The exhibition is located within the Glenfiddich Gallery at the distillery in Dufftown and is open to the public from tomorrow until September 16, from Thursday to Sunday, 12.30-5.30pm. Admission is free.
