We've handed out £2500 so far - will you be our next lucky winner?
OUR Hospice Lucky Numbers prize draw is proving to be a winning formula for readers of the Strathspey and Badenoch Herald and other weekly newspapers owned by Scottish Provincial Press.
Since the weekly draw was launched in September, £2500 has been handed over to delighted winners from across the Highlands and Moray – with every individual text entry contributing towards vital hospice services.
Hospice Lucky Numbers was devised by SPP as a way of raising funds for Highland Hospice while also providing a cash windfall of at least £500 for one lucky reader every week.
SPP's market development manager John Currie said: "Entries for Hospice Lucky Numbers have come in from our readers across all our weekly newspapers throughout the Highlands and Moray. So far we have given out £2500, with further cash to be won every week.
"It is really encouraging that our readers are keen to support Highland Hospice in this way and we are delighted to promote such a worthy local charity through our newspapers."
Linda Macdonald, fundraising manager at Highland Hospice, said: "We are so happy with the response to Hospice Lucky Numbers, and we would again like to thank Scottish Provincial Press for running the draw without making a profit themselves.
"The draw is helping to raise crucial funds to provide hospice services across the region, and every penny raised makes such a big difference to all our patients and their families. We have now had several very kind winners donate £50 of their cash win back to the hospice, which is such a generous gesture.
"I would urge as many readers as possible to enter the draw. By sending just one text with your unique code, you are not only showing your support to Highland Hospice, you are giving yourself the opportunity to win a cash prize as well."
A specially printed six-digit number appears inside each individual copy of your local paper.
Readers simply text us their unique number before the published closing date, and a winning combination is picked at random.
Each week we will contact the winner – the reader whose number exactly matches that week's randomly chosen six-digit sequence.
Texts cost £1 each, with proceeds split equally between Highland Hospice and the cash prize. The weekly prize fund is a minimum of £500.
