A95 road repair work completed ahead of time
Road improvements on the A95 Aviemore-Keith road have been completed ahead of schedule.
The £500,000 investment by Transport Scotland was to improve drainage on the A95 east of Craigellachie.
The roadworks have been removed two days earlier than scheduled.
The project involved putting in an improved drainage system and Contractor Coffey construction completed the works in 24 days.
Eddie Ross, spokesman for BEAR Scotland Ltd., said: "We are delighted that the project has been completed slightly ahead of programme. This was down to the contractor’s hard work and to the reasonable weather conditions.
"Road closures do cause inconvenience, so we would like to thank motorists and local residents for their patience while these essential improvements were carried out.
"The new drainage system will help to remove surface water making it safer particularly in winter when water freezing on the road surface can be a road safety hazard."
