Aon Hewitt will be looking to expand the Pensions Administration Office at Forss in the near future.

BABCOCK International Group have announced that it has sold its Caithness based Pensions Administration Office to Aon Hewitt for an undisclosed sum.

The company which is based at Brims House, Forss, will see all 33 current staff retained as its new owners look to expand the business and create new jobs in the next few years in the Far North.

Currently serving 80,000 members, its main focus is the administration of public sector final salary schemes but it has expanded over the last five years to take on the administration of other schemes including private sector schemes and those with Defined Contribution (DC) and Career Average Revalued Earnings (CARE) structures.

Andy Cox, CEO of Aon Hewitt UK, said that the administration operation at Brims House is important to its strategic development plans in Scotland and in the UK.

He said: "The development and growth of the Forss business over the next three years is a key part of our strategy to enter and build our public sector pensions business."
