A BAR manager who claimed jelly laced with vodka put her over the legal limit has kept her driving licence.
Although Donna Forbes was found guilty of drink driving six months ago, she won her plea in mitigation at Inverness Sheriff Court today.
Sheriff Gordon Fleetwood accepted the 30-year-old, of Orchard Park, in Beauly did not know the jelly she ate at a party contained alcohol.
Instead of banning Forbes, the sheriff fined her £400 and endorsed her licence with six penalty points.
She initially denied drink driving but was found found following a trial in February when Sheriff Ian Abercrombie could not believe Forbes had involuntarily consumed alcohol.
