Fun day in memory of Logan
A FUN day in memory of a courageous Moray youngster who lost his battle with cancer aged just three will be held on Sunday.
The third annual Logan’s Fun Day at Lossiemouth Playing Fields on Sunday gets underway with a car boot sale from 10am, followed by the main event from 12noon to 5pm.
Cash from this year’s gathering will be donated to the ‘Neuroblastoma Children’s Cancer Alliance UK’.
Logan Main’s parents, Angela and Christopher, have chosen a neuroblastoma-related cause to donate the proceeds to, in order to highlight the charities in the neuroblastoma community, and to show appreciation of their work.
The Neuroblastoma Alliance UK helps children and families affected by the condition by providing financial assistance for children’s treatment and support to families affected by the disease, as well as funding research.
Entertainment this year will include a full afternoon of ringside entertainment both to spectate and to take part in – including a martial arts display; Tish Tindall and Lossiemouth Rock Academy; tribal dancers; local singing protégés, Amy Royan and Owen Young; children’s Olympics; Crazy Tug-o-War, and It’s a Total Knockout.
There will be inflatables and other fair ground attractions, pony rides, an array of emergency service vehicles for photo opportunities and sitting in, craft tent, open air disco, chainsaw carver, story-telling, and even a donkey-petting station.
A mix of local charities and groups will be providing some of the stalls in the arena ranging from Marie Curie Cancer Care in Moray and Moray Friends of Archie, to the historic Knockando Woolmill.
There will be a barbeque, and a tea and cake tent, and the chance to win big prizes.
The official opening of the fun day takes place with a balloon release around 12.30pm.
