IAIN Vigurs is back in talks with Ross County following his potential move to Oldham Athletic breaking down.

The midfield star, whose nine goals helped the Staggies finish fifth in their debut Clydesdale Bank SPL season, looked to be on the way to the English League One club.

However, a deal could not be reached and County chairman Roy MacGregor told the NS: "There are only two players currently now out of contract – Iain Vigurs and Steffen Wohlfarth and I know both have been talking to the manager (Derek Adams), who is on holiday right now. That is positive news, but we will see what happens.

"Two other players, Envangelos Okinomou and Andre Hainault, are still under contract until June 30."
